Lately I have been on a smoothie kick. I’ve been making them at home for breakfast and they having been keeping me full until almost lunch time, which is a big deal for me (I’m always hungry). Since we got a Vitamix from my coworkers as a wedding gift, it is super easy to just throw all the ingredients in and hit go.
Yesterday morning I added plain non-fat Chobani yogurt, banana, frozen strawberries, vanilla whey protein powder, a dash of skim milk, flax seeds and chia seeds. I usually like to also throw in a heaping handful of spinach, but didn’t have any on hand. It was delicious. The thing about smoothies is you can really use anything.
This morning I had a chiropractor appointment and had to grab breakfast on the way into work. I was still craving a smoothie so I gave Protein Bar a try. I ordered their Blue Line smoothie, which came with banana, blueberries, vanilla whey protein and non-fat yogurt. It was very good and i would definitely order their again. Also, the staff was really friendly at 8:30 in the morning, bonus!
